RHPFFU local 3472 has contributed time and moneys to a variety of charitable organizations. The local participates in the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) annual Fill- the –Boot campaign to raise funds for Jerry’s kids. Members have helped with children’s burn camps. The Relay for Life annual pancake breakfast is cooked by RHPFF for those raising funds for cancer research. The local has adopted a stretch of Avon Road between Livernios and Adams and members participant in bi-annual clean-ups. The Older Person Commission (OPC) of Rochester has also enjoyed several breakfasts cooked by Local 3472 members. In December 2008, the RHPFFU had the honor and great enjoyment to adopt a local family and ensure a special holiday. Members from the local took the family shopping for needed food, clothes and some youthful entertainment. The local looks forward to make this an annual event to further our involvement in our community.
